Limit on the number of applications from each applicant institution
For 2027, Helse Sør-Øst RHF has introduced an upper limit of 480 applications in total from all applicant institutions. The distribution of application quotas between the health trusts/hospitals is shown in the table below. It is based on the most recent national survey of ressursbruk til forskning i helseforetakene (fra 2023), carried out by Statistisk sentralbyrå.

In addition, other eligible applicant institutions may each submit one application.
The limitation has been introduced due to a high and steadily increasing number of applications, and is intended, among other things, to help ensure a sound and efficient review process.
This year’s application process will be evaluated in collaboration with Regionalt forskningsutvalg during the year.
